How should I serve my caviar?

Your Caviar has arrived and is safely ensconced in your fridge, so now what? Keep reading to learn some tips and tricks to make the most of this exceptional product.

What is the best way to serve my Caviar?

Caviar should be served cold so sit the original tin on top of crushed ice. Gently scoop the eggs out with a mother of pearl spoon, or a spoon made from bone, wood or even plastic.

Metal spoons can alter the taste so are best avoided.


How much do I serve?

It depends on how you are serving it and how generous you are feeling. As a rule of thumb Caviar that is being served as the star of the show as caviar bumps or simply on blinis we recommend about 20gm per person. There is about 5gms in each spoonful.

If it is being used as a garnish or part of a larger meal 10gm per person should be sufficient.

Due to the delicate nature of Caviar it is best to only open what can be enjoyed in a single sitting.

What should I pair my caviar with?

Exceptional caviar like the products we sell can be enjoyed on its own or simply with a glass of bubbles or an ice-cold shot of vodka. However if you are wanting to be more creative here are a few ideas.

Caviar, blinis and a dollop of crème fraiche. We love the lightness of the potato blinis from Thomas Keller at French Laundry.

How about Caviar, potato chips,and crème fraiche. The salt and the crunch make this a must try, a grown up chip and dip experience.

Use it to accentuate other seafood like oysters, scallops, and crayfish.

Double down and serve a dollop on scrambled or boiled eggs, the ultimate egg and toast right there.

There are no hard and fast rules so just relax and enjoy this rare treat.
